WHO WE ARE

PORT HILL UNITED FC

Founded in 1975, Port Hill United Football Club has evolved from a dozen cricket players (Napier Technical Cricket Club) to a club with over 120 members today.

Currently the club has four men’s & two women’s Teams playing in the majority of the Hawke’s Bay senior competitions. Port Hill United FC has a strong link with Port Hill Juniors which is constantly evolving to ensure support for the young players and a clear pathway to senior football.

Originally named Napier Technical Soccer Club and based at Whitmore Park (Napier), the club decided to relocate their members and set up their own clubrooms at South Pond, in Ahuriri (Napier) in 1983. In 1984, Napier Tech became an independent identity and unanimously changed its club name to Port Hill United Soccer Club. In 2010 the name was updated to Port Hill United Football Club.

In 1992, Port Hill seized the opportunity to relocate and purchased a facility at Marewa Park (Napier), which is arguably one of the best football grounds in the Hawke's Bay region and to which the club is currently based today. Port Hill has long prided itself with an attitude towards pro-activeness, innovation and continuous growth for over 40 years.

A consistently strong membership & loyal supporters is proof of Port Hill's willingness to stay competitive. Not only on the field, but off it, by staying financially sustainable, supporting and promoting sponsors, improving facilities and focusing on a club culture which celebrates & supports our whole club.
